La Famille Digitale is a collective of documentary filmmakers and an independent, nonprofit audiovisual and multimedia production company and publishing house. LFD realizes, edits, spreads and distributes audiovisual works realized outside industrial ways.
Documentaries, experimental films, animations, or still sonorous stories, beyond the kinds, LFD is focused on free writings and free looks.
LFD believes that these works are many opportunities to put and to propose a critical, long-term and forward-looking glance on the contemporary time.
By means of a screen, of a stream, of an optical support, LFD is always looking for the right way to make easier the meeting between the works and the public.
LFD relies on informal networking and collective work, as source of alternatives to the dead ends of the traditional circuits of broadcasting and of distribution.
If you are an independent artist, screener or distributor, of if you simply feel close to our way of mind, come and participate to this project! La Famille Digitale keeps looking for new collaborations and experiences to share.

EUT-ELLE ETE CRIMINELLE...
Jean-Gabriel Périot
France, 2006
experimental documentary
France, summer 1944, The Liberation time….
Only the winners write history, thus Jean-Gabriel Périot tries to pass the memories on, in order to examine the forgot, to discuss our futures.
Based on archive pictures, between documentary, animated film and experimentation, he builds a harsh editing as violent as the reality can be in our modern society.

EXPÉRIENCE À LA POMME
Aurore Sanguinetti
France, 2006
animation, documentary
There are the tapes made by Arthur and his cousins on the cassette recorder… There are the drawings… There are the Super8 films of vacations… There is the sun on the façade of the house in Corsica. There is also the recipe of the street and the smell of French toast; or rather, the recipe for French toast and the smell of the sea… Yet where was this idea of smells, the idea of memories?
Between animation and video, Super8 and photo montages, this film digs, interweaves, untangles and seeks to reassemble the scattered memories from that beloved era of “when I was little”.

SONIA ET SA FAMILLE
O Sonia jej rodine
Daniela Rusnokova
Slovakia, 2006
documentary
Sonia is the mother of 15 children. With them and her husband, they live in a squalid shack, that no way but mud connects outside. The director spent one year in this family, and, far beyond the Rom community and of a vision of a family in destitution and a reducing father, she questions the force of the family tie and the state of woman, while speaking with Sona, by collecting her word whispered during the nights.
RIP IN PIECES AMERICA
Dominic Gagnon
Canada, 2008
experimental documentary
RIP IN PIECES AMERICA is an uncensored proclamation from an invisible USA.
Dominic Gagnon turns no blind eye in his ultra-intense collage film which consists entirely of more or less anonymous webcam clips that due to their controversial or explicit nature have been flagged and meanwhile removed from video sites such as YouTube. Well-formulated conspiracy theorists, bad-tempered grass-roots activists and religious arms fanatics, who use the webcam as both a means to preach and to confess, have all been filtered by the censor, but stored by Gagnon, who neither comments nor embarks on any finger-pointing. For who decides what can be thought and said? And what is paranoia, if you know that you're right? RIP is an uncensored, in-your-face assault on political correctness and on most American institutions. But it also has a bizarre performative element that develop in pure Hollywood fashion.
100 JOURS, 100 films documentaires avant les élections présidentielles
La Famille Digitale / Les yeux d’Izo
France, 2007
documentary
"April 22nd, 2007. the presidential elections in France took place. 15 days later the identity of the new political officials of the country were revealed. We had decided to use this date as a starting point with a documentary series to reflect on politics. The presidential elections were our pretext to approach, from a plural point of view, all the facets which politics can cover in the life of people, since “the simple” gesture to vote until more intimate, complex or radical postures. 100jours is an approach of politics through 100 short documentary films (maximum 5 minutes), which were distributed (broadcasted) the 100 previous days the end result of the french presidential elections. It is about a collective project in which several directors are brought to create documentary on people that they chose for the personal link they maintain with politics, in her broadest direction."
